Six minutes and counting explaining how to navigate three book pages on the computer. Telling kids a printed copy might be in their language arts packet (which the school ran out of) or they can print it.

Have now spent eight minutes doing what/where/when/why on a single sentence unrelated to the pages they’re going to be reading.

The work the kids were assigned to do on their own involves knowing what brackets are (they have to select a word from brackets to fit the rest of the sentence based on a story they just read). Teacher did not explain what brackets mean. Son was confused.

Instructions on page for kids also instructs them to go and tell a family member about the story they just read. Parents are most likely working themselves and don’t get a heads up about this.

This. They're spending twice as much time to do half as much work, just because it's so hard to do online. These little kids are going to get burned out so fast.

From what I'm seeing from other parents, I'm thinking I might just go full homeschool this year. I don't know if I can put my kids (or me) through this bs.

Sounds like my first HS physics teacher. Who was booted after about 2 months and replaced by a more effective teacher.
