The whole Typhoid Brad&Karen thing is based in, “Well, *I* feel fine, so how DARE your mask imply otherwise? How DARE your mask suggest that I’m a dirty sick person (bc lots of illness = immorality mindset here) when I would NEVER?”

And of course, bc they’ve bought into the idea that the pandemic is somehow fake or “blown out of proportion,” they resent anyone in a mask - ie, someone who takes it seriously - for “contributing” to the fact that everything is on a pandemic footing rn.
