Sometimes I think wistfully about being same weight I was in my late teens/early twenties, and then that wistfulness is immediately tampered by the knowledge that, if/when I drop a certain number of kilos, I'll be conventionally attractive enough for gross dudes to notice again.

Right now, I'm not *quite* as heavy as I was right after by kid was born, but I'm heavy. Still - thankfully - much, much healthier (and happier!) than I was the same time a few years back, before I got my health issues sorted out, but heavy.

For health reasons - and yeah, I'll admit it, socially conditioned vanity reasons - I would like to drop some heft. But damned if I'm not constantly doing the mental calculus of When The Catcalling Will Start Again, as it did the last time I fell below a certain weight.
