The message is changing in a literal sense for the Maple Leafs under Sheldon Keefe. “It’s a privilege, not a right” is no longer written on the walls above the stalls at the FPC dressing room. No new slogan just yet.
It’s also demotivational as hell, telling players they have no security and can be demoted anytime, to be fearful of mistakes, which tracks with how Babs treated his players - that is, shittily.

I mean, you’re entitled to your opinion, but when you’ve got hall of fame players saying Babs was a terrible coach because of how he deployed this attitude, I’m inclined to think it doesn’t work on people the way you think it does.
