me, speaking thru a mouthful of dirt & toadstools: endless fandom discourse acts on us emotionally like an ongoing argument with a partner, souring us to positives b/c we can’t access them anymore w/out engaging in dispute. the problem isn’t criticism but constant exposure to it

me, mushrooms for eyes, a toad for a skull: just disengage sometimes. go outside. close tumblr. returning to an old fandom shouldn’t feel like visiting a grave. the world beats us down enough as it is. someone will always be wrong on the internet. shh.

me, decaying in the forest loam: you know those scenes in SFF where the psychic gets overwhelmed & exhausted & nosebleedy & collapses from Seeing Into Too Many Heads & Feeling Too Many Feelings All At Once? that is you, scrolling endlessly thru tumblr discourse. Stop. Know Peace.
