Hey Twitter: what are five non-animated films that were weirdly integral and/or formative for you as a pre-teen? I'll go first: - Twister (1996) - The Ghost and the Darkness (1996) - Cutthroat Island (1995) - A League of Their Own (1992) - The Quick and the Dead (1995)

Twister was the go-to movie for our science class whenever a teacher was away. I liked it but I feel like I can never watch it again at this point

The Ring (The American version) Aliens The Matrix Those three for traumatizing me unironically (I was a wuss). I grew to like these a lot. Men In Black Star Wars: The Phantom Menace because I was the ideal mix of kid and stupid to enjoy it.

CUTTHROAT ISLAAAAAAAND. I was too young for it but I LOVED IT. Cutthroat Island and Snow White a Tale of Terror are my top two "if you didn't see these as a kid then we're sitting down right now."

Willow is definately up there. We quote it a lot. I had to buy the book trilogy that takes place after the movie.
