I had to get my son vaccinated here as a catch-up. It was nearly a hundred dollars. Every other vaccination of his life has been free in England, Scotland and Australia. Yes, there are anti-vaxxers in those countries, too, but they thrive in the US because of the cost.

Also, you need to unlearn this idea that socialism has only one meaning and one political permutation. The socialism of communist Russia is different from modern Cuba is different from socialist democracies like Sweden. Calling something 'socialised' is different again.
