I had to get my son vaccinated here as a catch-up. It was nearly a hundred dollars. Every other vaccination of his life has been free in England, Scotland and Australia. Yes, there are anti-vaxxers in those countries, too, but they thrive in the US because of the cost.

Man, I just think it's sad that a self-professed Christian would rather have a tiny bit more money per year than render unto Caesar and support a system that keeps everyone healthy.

You wouldn't have to pay higher taxes. Do you even know how *absurdly large* the amount of money the US spends on the military is? Take a tiny fraction of that and you'd have universal healthcare paid for without impacting you - AND you'd save money without insurance costs.

There's a difference between security and insanity. Not that you treat your veterans well, either. The US spends more on its military per year than the next SEVEN countries do combined. https://www.pgpf.org/chart-archive/0053_defense-comparison …

It's Republicans who consistently vote to cut money spent on veterans - that's a matter of clear public record. Also, I see nothing Christlike in the idea that it's better to spend more money on war than on medicine.
