I believe yes, because you hear about this happening in bar fights (manslaughter by single punch).

I believe I read something of the sort in this book, which is an injury-writing guide for authors: https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Page-One-Compendium-ScriptMedic-ebook/dp/B075ZHM51B/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1539231974&sr=1-1&keywords=blood+on+the+page …

It’s actually surprisingly easy and way more common than most people think, especially blows to the head. Fatal brain trauma resulting from severed arteries, etc.. The shock of a punch can also actually cause people to stop breathing.

It can happen, if the attacker has professional fighter strength and if the victim already has had head injuries and concussions in the past. Most commonly a solid jaw punch can result in a severe concussion/brain injury, resulting in being what’s called “punch drunk.”
-
Also if the person has a brain aneurysm that bursts when hit.

Look up coup-contrecoup injuries. It's essentially how a knockout punch works. If the hit is hard enough it can be fatal
-
As for punches to the neck there is also the possibility of crushing the trachea which can cause asphyxiation.
