Peeps, suggest me examples of "analog" cultures (secondary world in fantasy or aliens in sf) in sff film/tv/books. e.g. using a real world culture as a template. Looking for bad (but also good) examples. Particularly ones from well known narratives.

I was going to mention the Feist/Wurst Empire books too. I genuinely don’t know if for good or bad. On one hand it’s clearly appropriative, but on the other it was my first experience of a non-Western Fantasy setting and really made me aware that other perspectives were possible.
