Slava Voynov getting pardoned even after he served time for throwing his wife through a TV is why we still don't trust Patrick Kane (or Drew Doughty, or Semyon Varlamov, or Evander Kane) even after they were purportedly acquitted: the same law has never applied to athletes.
For context, I’m an Avs fan, and I’ve seen conflicting reports about the Varlarmov case. Do I *want* to trust that he’s innocent? Yes. *Can* I trust that, knowing how the system is fundamentally rigged in his favour? No.

Doughty report was squashed, she had Gloria Allred, you know the one who represented Nichole Brown? Police found she was not cooperative in the investigations and that her claims were shit. So yes, I get it, but leave Doughty out of it please.

I too was letdown by Voynov and Hull and many others, how some are still honored. People can be bad, but they can also be fantastic. PK Subban, Kopitar, Zucker, Bergeron, Brown, England, Luongo. Many many more. Varlomov, if you feel that way, follow your gut. Abandon the team.
