Slava Voynov getting pardoned even after he served time for throwing his wife through a TV is why we still don't trust Patrick Kane (or Drew Doughty, or Semyon Varlamov, or Evander Kane) even after they were purportedly acquitted: the same law has never applied to athletes.
You keep missing the point. PKane’s case was dismissed for “lack of evidence,” too. What I’m saying is that rich athletes are pretty much always presumed innocent by the justice system, such that I can’t feel 100% easy with any player who’s been accused.

I’m not missing anything. I am saying that sometimes cases are dismissed for valid reasons. Did you ever think that sometimes someone might actually file false claims against another person to try to take advantage? Not saying you are all wrong, just list names you can prove.

Can false allegations happen? Yes. Are false rape allegations higher than for any other crime? No, despite the perception of them as such. 0.3% of reported assaults are false. So while it’s possible Doughty was falsely accused, that would be a very rare scenario.
