He’s a teenager guilty of burglary
. He didn’t kill anyone. I know that teens can be really annoying, and often behave inappropriately, but this is unjust. The Judge is an adult, he should be able to control his anger when sentencing. -
Agreed! The judge could’ve shown compassion for the defendant, who was 15 when the incident occurred. Smith was “stupid” for turning down the plea deal, but to condemn him to the equivalent of a life sentence for “acting stupidly” under the Accomplice Law is not just.
