That such discussions are occurring is a good thing. But I cringe to think of how that particular conversation was framed.

My personal opinion? Destroying history is bad; so are public symbols of white supremacy.
Someone move these things to a museum, please.

Statues of other "fallen regimes" were all up before the fall. US erected them after it falls, as an F-You to a people group. Look it up.
