    I have been sexually harassed, warned about my attitude, booed publicly, literally kicked in a photo scrum, and sidelined by my colleagues when speaking out against sexism and racism at work and in the photojournalism industry. I am no longer a working photojournalist.

    What would a history of American photography look like if we told it from the perspective of all the women whose careers were slowed or ended by sexual harassment & sexism? Or from the perspective of Black & other POC photographers who were never given a chance because of racism?

    CLEANSE is a series of video projections that uses images, messages, color, and light to support collective visual healing in public spaces. Local artists encourage dialogue around the push for new collective histories and continued fight for equity and anti-racism in our city.
