Special VAT rate for media allows these online criticisms to exist? Freedom of the press?

Country in much better shape than 10 years ago.And in profoundly better shape than 30 years ago.Let’s keep that in mind.Let’s not talk and write ourselves constantly into the abyss. We have much to celebrate yet rarely do. Let’s at least do it tonight and better in 2020 than 2019

As someone that gets up early in the morning to work I responded positively to the slogan, which was clearly aimed at people like me, part of the "squeezed middle". Yes it's glib. Yes it's patronising. Yes it's relying on people voting out of self interest. But what slogan isnt?

Doesn't include people working on hospital wards, I'd guess.

Surely it’s not meant to be taken literally? I mean come on. I’m not a huge fan of his but he’s obviously playing to the hard-pressed middle income taxpayers (regardless of working hours) who keep the country running and get little in return. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
