Some small tunnels that do little. Every big project has fallen through. It is old ideas that have been around for ages (see Jetsons youtu.be/lhxsD5uA7vs)
and Virgin looks like it is ahead of the game now.

Also, trains are way more efficient.

trains cost billions
boring company tunnels cost 100x less
if you don’t have the money to build a train, trains are useless.
1
You are wrong. So very wrong.

lol try again

Yep then divide cost by capacity and reliability. 👍

The tunnels will run on rubber tires and a road, rather than lines. That makes running costs much higher and less environmentally friendly. Think about road works, but in a small tunnel with a heavy vehicle passing over the same spot every few seconds.
Also all the rubber.

Also, for example, the SFCS (at the top) is over the entire life of the project and it includes much more than just the underground. It will have roughly 50million passengers a year.

The Boring tunnels and systems are backwards tech.
Cities are moving away from cars. Driving your own personal vehicle made of metal and plastic, no matter how they are powered is still worse for the environment than mass transit.
1
Subways are made of metal and plastic too. Irrelevant.
Still can’t beat the cost. If you don’t have money to pay for a subway, it’s useless.
No shit but how many people does 1 train carry in a lifetime compared to a car?
If you don't have money for a subway, you don't have money for an inefficient vanity project. That's why this shit is happening in Vegas and nowhere else.
1
Subway cars costs more than a single Tesla. So obviously 1 Tesla isn’t going to beat a subway. But if you factor in proportional costs and factor in the fact that Teslas take you directly to the destination without stopping in between (making trip time less), it’s proportional.
