Sadly, from the time Activision became more heavily involved, it was only a matter of time. Combining a huge company which spits out titles like chewing gum onto a path, and another which was known for taking its time to make games just right was never going to work.

It was always going to be the money maker that called the shots and the bigger "more successful" (monetarily) company would steer the direction. It was bound to impact on development, along with customer support, etc. until it just became a mess and Blizzard ended up being a
