A good read. I'd disagree with the assertion that Shaw is secondary though; he's a very prominent, long-standing character who is important and reoccurring enough to have his own cinematic model. And on the flip side, I wouldn't call Tess prominent; she's very sparsely used.

I think they just meant that in the end strong representation comes from making a main characters queer in some way or another. Esp w/ the context that often times queer rep is just relegated secondaries in story telling largely told by a heterosexual gaze. Not a jab... /1

... at Blizz or that they aren't allies. Just a note that we still have a massive cast of main characters who are still presented relatively heterosexual. And our first canon homosexuals are secondary characters. Which isn't to say it isn't a good step, as Shaw... /2
