And while going to a running store to get measured sounds too much and expensive, it may be, but I walked out with the best pair of shoes for me ever. Second bit, keep doing it. It's so easy to sit on the sofa, but keep going out, even if you just walk.

Take intervals between walking and running. And run at a much slower pace than feels natural at first until you’ve built up some fitness. (Says the person who hasn’t been running in 3 years! I just remember what it was like to start out)

My husband started running two years ago and had to quit two months later. He once had a surgery at the knee and his knee wasn't able to carry his (a little higher than average) weight. So if you once had knee problems better take to a doctor first

Oh and also important: if you experience aching the next day: take a break, your Body needs it! Otherwise you can overstrech your muscles, which leaves painfull and ugly makes under your skin. Also if aching comes, try drinking grape juice. It is said to help here.

If you want to listen to something while running then listen to a podcast or an audio book. Or chose music for your rhythm of running but that can be quite difficult.

On the other hand if you find music that fits your rhythm you'll never have problems finding it again! I struggle with that a lot tbh and sometimes exhaust myself faaar to fast
