Welp, I'm ready to go, but my train won't depart for a few hours. I keep thinking there is something I missed, or some piece of crucial info I don't have, or I'll get on the wrong train. Logistics are the bane of my existence. I'd rather talk to a crowd of 500 than book a flight.

Me pretty much every day. Did I lock the door? Who sent that email I needed to respond to? Mail? Oh I should get it. Where's my (fill in the blank). Seriously, all the clever brilliance and careful arranging of things goes into my work with nothing left over.

Whenever leaving the house for longer than a few hours, I would say to my wife "the Garage is Closed" to confirm that I closed the garage while we were backing out. Saying it ensured that I in fact did it, in addition to getting her to look at the door to confirm it herself.

I do the same thing with my straighteners. Literally sat there berating myself. "They're off. The straighteners are off. I'm unplugging them now.Let's put it as far away from the socket as possible. Wow those straighteners are SO OFF right now." Later: "...did I turn off the-"
