Sometimes I wonder what would have happened had I indeed written another book when I got those rejection letters on my first novel asking to "see more from me." Would I have been able to launch a successful original writing career? Or if I'd done what NO one in my family...1)

2)...including me, thought was a viable option: go to LA and try to sell scripts or write for TV (with my love of characters and dialogue above all else, it would've been a good fit...as I'm finding out writing the IGCs for WoW.)

3) What would my career have been like? A lovely co-worker suggested I'd be a show-runner now, but would that really have happened? I'm shy and might not have had the moxie it took to get along in the entertainment business. Especially in the 80s-90s.

8) So maybe I'm right where I'm supposed to be, w/ a career I am proud of that has been recognized with awards & best-sellerdom, utilizing my whole pallet of skills, and loving what I do. I might not see people cosplaying as my own original characters, or creating art for them--

9)...but honestly, if my parent's longevity is any indication, I'll be around for another couple of decades at the very least. Time for other dreams to manifest. In the meantime, I'll relish what I have &love going to work every day. Thanks for supporting me on this journey!
