Hmmm. The tail and top star of the tattoo might be a little infected. H*ck. Everything else on the tat is healing fine but the tail/star is in such an awkward position, constantly getting pulled on by any arm movement, that it's having a hard time healing.

Ack! Hope it's not too serious, and a Monday visit sounds like an excellent plan to care for you and the Lion!
-
Certainly no where near as serious as what you can find on Google images, at least! The rest of the lion looks great though. Still scabby but looking very normal underneath.

Keep in mind that you can probably check with your tattoo artist as well! They probably see a lot of this kind of thing and can say if it needs something specific. Brief searching seems to indicate doctor if it doesn't resolve in a week or so.

I got my first tattoo about a month ago (nowhere near as big/elaborate as your Black Lion, though), and it was pretty tender and red/whatnot for a while because of where it is and where I put it on my dominant arm). I kept aquaphor on it for a good week and a half. Hope it's --

How's it doing today? Any better? Any worse?
-
The problem area is kinda the same, but the tattoo overall seems to be fine! More scabs coming off naturally during washing/ointment. The bits that are free look okay- cloudy but that will clear up eventually
