    Textbooks are mostly written for peers NOT students. I tried to do things differently in my free e-book I wish I had this book when I was getting started. It goes over all the Modern Math and Machine Learning ideas to make building robots at home EZ.

    It's kinda wild that you can create anything you want in Blender and get it printed in the real world. Also if you're like me and can't 3-d model for shit then you can design a 3-d model in VR in an Oculus Quest with Google Tilt Brush and export to Blender then Cura and print.

    The "slicing" problem then reduces to figuring out for each of these triangles whether they intersect with a 2-d plane at a given height. If you go from height = 0 to the height of the 3-d model you get the final 3-d object in the real world

    STL defines a 3-d model by taking a bunch of tiny little triangles and assembling them together. Each triangle is determined by 12 numbers (3 for each triangle vertex and 3 for normal vector of the surface)

    How does a 3-d printer work exactly? A better name for it is a layered manufacturing device because it can construct a 3-d object in the real world by stacking several 2-d planes on top of each other. Sounds simple but patterns can be very intricate.

    I love buying used books with tons of highlights and notes in the margins. It's legit hard to find people interested in the same topics as me. A used book is like async conversation with the previous owner.
