I'm taking over 's duties this week - it's in Twitter jail due to quoting a statement that violated Twitter's violent threats policy. Good reminder for me not to quote hate speech, even if it's in the Hansard

New modelling by the UofM shows an Emissions Reduction Target of 75% by 2030 would create up to 53,900 jobs in Victoria. Will Premier lock in jobs by setting science-based targets?

If you feel awful & you have the funds for it, put some food out for the birds. This may sound Granny-ish & homespun but watching them will decrease your levels of stress hormone & very likely increase your dopamine, shifting 2 of the dials responsible for your mood & motivation.

Tech companies made the right call to stop hosting Parler after it refused to combat calls to violence. Action was needed, even though it was late and reactionary. It’s also not that simple. THREAD 🧵

If you believe unionization is solely about wages and benefits, organizing by Google workers might puzzle you. If you recognize unionization is about injecting democracy into autocratic workplaces, organizing by all workers makes perfect sense.

This is exactly the kind of climate risk financial institutions are dealing with. Frydenberg + Christensen will learn all about this in the public schooling they've requested. Bluewaters coal-fired power station written off as worthless as renewables rise

(Thread) To My Old Master: this letter was written in August 1865 by former slave Jourdan Anderson to his old master, Colonel P.H. Anderson of Big Spring, Tennessee, who had the audacity to send him a letter asking that he return to work on the plantation. See next tweets.
