Because the richer the people is, usually the smarter they are. So they realize having kids is the same as HAVING PARASITES.
You have a lot of parasites (like your ex-wife), but your money amount is so large, it doesn't hurt you.

If we can achieve immortality we would have the most ultra experienced professional earth has ever witnessed. Imagine what an immortal Einstein, Newton, Hawking would've achieved in science.
The older you get, the more you know. But what's the point if the brain deteriorates?

Why would someone want to live forever? I don’t think our brains could handle living forever. I think we would eventually go crazy since our minds haven’t evolved to know how to function after 120+ years.

Yeah. Having children is evolution’s way of enabling immortality without driving us insane with eternal conscious existence confined to this one particular organism-unit.
