DALL-E is breaking my heart. AI art is about to lay utter waste to traditional visual art forms. This will be so much more destructive than what the Internet did to music. It will be a technological conquest of one of the great human avenues of spiritual transformation.

Well this is not true. Surely it’s hard to distinguish oneself as an artist from the sea of saturation and overflowing supply, but it’s also easier than ever to directly monetize without needing to sell your rights to corporate middlemen.

Every song uploaded increases your chances of getting recognized (and thus eventually adequately compensated) with little downside, mainly the cost of uploading and promoting. Surely it is a taxing task for independents, but to claim it’s harder than ever is grounded on nothing

There’s also much more demand for music, and so there are so many music-related jobs out there now.
