The essence of Bitcoin is personal responsibility and mathematics.
I think this is the biggest vote against the likelihood of its mass adoption with the values its enthusiasts embrace in it.

Not to say it won’t be widely embraced in other ways by the lazy and ignorant masses; those who want the power for themselves carry the responsibility themselves, and those who don’t give it to others.

Though one might also say that having society revolve around soft money incentivizes laziness and ignorance. Could it be different with sound money?
