I've come to think that the implication behind the idiom "no news is good news" is, simply, that reality is always fundamentally good.

Your ideas of reality being "wrong"—or any thoughts about it for that matter—literally make no difference to it. They affect only the way in which you as a singular node of perception filter the a priori undifferentiated energy of the universe.
