Our Buddha-nature is like a belt so well-fitting that we forget we're wearing one. A Buddha is simply someone who remembers and rejoices in the fact that he's wearing such a well-fitting belt.

Yeah, that’s often the case. I’ve come to expect no connection between the things people write and the way they behave—should there even be one? That’s just my own imagined expectations projected onto someone I don’t know. Besides, “consistency is the virtue of small minds…”
Of course it depends greatly on what the author in question writes about, or rather the intention with which they do it. But the aura of admiration and authority one assigns to anyone is there solely by one’s own choice to ignore their inbuilt shortcomings as human beings.
