The highest level in spirituality is the ability to walk on two planes at once: to recognize culture and identity as illusory, yet to participate in them gracefully.

This is why Mahayana Buddhism is, as its name says, the Great Vehicle: it does not insist on clinging to liberation and emptiness, and thus is the truest liberation.
