Seeing it for what it is, you're finally able to really *play* along! An actor in a play doesn't stop playing because he realizes the character has no real existence. He instead has a blast at it, knowing it all to be a play.

And the beauty of it is that whatever way you choose to proceed—lightly or seriously—that's just your way of acting out your ephemeral role; your "dramatis persona."
