"5-HT2A agonism via psychedelic entheogens is highly anti-inflammatory for the brain and nervous system. I was suspicious the lack of taste and smell was rooted in COVID’s inflammatory nature, but now I must dive deeper to find total resolution."

Which psychedelic is a 5-HT2A agonist? When you say "they", are you referring to a group of them, or a single one? And have people regained their taste and smell from this?

All of them function as partial 5-HT2A agonists. Tryptamines, lysergamides, and phenylethylamines.
Yes, a number of people since then.

Am I right in intuiting that MAOIs (from plants like B. caapi or P. harmala) would also work, though not by increasing input but by increasing efficiency of the neurotransmitters with 5-HT2A agonism already in the body?
Beautiful—they’re much more accessible than most psychedelics for me (and I presume for most people too).
Learned them from you 😉🙏
