Upon leaving aside your attachments to them, though, many of said pleasures lose much of their former shine—for their shine greatly pales in comparison to the "bliss of the self."

But still, this bliss of the Self extends to everything, and one can still joyfully participate in transient pleasures and not be tarnished—as long as one does not attempt to make them provide something they cannot.
