Real mindfulness *is* mindlessness, in the sense that you are not preoccupied with the contents of the mind. The true nature of the mind is like space. Space is something you are not highly aware of, and in the same way, in true mindfulness you are not aware of the mind.

It’s funny how the paradox shifts with perspective. The hyper-awareness of entry level mindfulness is necessary to see the mind and then see past it, and enter into true mindfulness; mindlessness. 🤣 cheers to being empty.

Yeah, that's true! 😂 the dance of opposites... This got me thinking: When our eyes function properly, we aren't aware of them (no specks in the field of vision etc.)—yet we don't call this normal state "eyefulness" or "eyelessness." Why is there such an approach to the mind?...

Incredible observation. Perhaps it is that we tend to assume ourselves as the thinker not the observer of thoughts, i.e. identification with thought instead of identification with eyeball. haha.
