You don't have to be alone to feel lonely.
Loneliness also occurs when you are in the company of people you don't relate with.

I find I’m most lonely when in this sort of company. It’s like continuously being reminded about the lack of true connection, while being alone it’s possible to rest into the true connection to one’s self; which also deepens the sense of connection to everything else as well.
