In the end, all knowledge is intuition. After taking all the potential variables into account, you still have to make the final decision from your gut. How do you know to trust the data you studied? How do you trust yourself to know which sources are trustworthy?

Probability is basically just a mental decoration about how things could unfold, having no actual relation to how things will unfold because the amount of variables always far exceeds our conscious attention.
