Every explanation of a phenomenon is a story, revealing much more of the mindstate of the one who’s telling it rather than the phenomenon itself.

When these explanations are read by people under the same mindstate, they seem to convey the ultimate truth; e.g. a scientific explanation of the world is for someone brought up in the 21st century much more convincing than a theistic one because it fits the modern mindframe.

However, these explanations are all, in the end, stories, and stories always only show a partial, biased and decorated view rather than the big picture; the truth. Truth can’t be expressed in a story, but only because it doesn’t need to be expressed. It just is.
