Conversation

I had once a friend, a beautiful soul, who had the most pure abilities to connect with his surroundings. Yet some family decided he should not “converse with trees or deal in clairvoyance” so they send him to psychiatrist - they destroyed him with shame, labels and pills.

Psychiatrists don’t know anything about mental health, yet they’re the ones who people go to in times of distress, just to get a ‘diagnosis’ and a prescription for Adderall, SSRIs or benzodiazepines to further numb them and dysregulate their neurotransmitters. It makes me sick.

Indeed. I’d say it’s the conditioned profound distrust in our own experience and sensations that we’re taught must be externalized into some authority that ‘knows’ better than us... why it’s not questioned at all is beyond my comprehension.
