Wonderful analogy!
I feel like such a task always results in something very stale, sterile and mechanical. Completely disregarding the necessity of the mystery, the importance and joy of letting it be without explanation and instead just experiencing the miracle of it.

Exactly, stale, sterile, mechanical. Because the light is missing. History is pushed by intuitions, dreams, inspirations, revelations, mystical experiences...all of which are peripheral expressions around the central Presence of the Mystery.

Indeed, and to observe these manifestations of the Mystery as if they were something abiding to our crude rules of logic is like trying to taste a strawberry through a picture of it.
