    Hi 'may contain' labelling is voluntary and the generic term 'may contain nuts' can cover both nuts and peanuts. However, with allergen ingredients labelling you must be specific. Pls see clause 37 and 43 in our guidance here: Regards, JAD

    Hi a peanut is a legume, not a nut. Great info from here: Allergen labelling should clearly state if the ingredient is a peanut OR a tree nut. 'Contains nuts' cannot be used to describe the inclusion of both. JAD
