    Here’s a very early peek at the current (side?) project I’m working on. It’s a chill little exploration game, but more about gameplay later. 🙂 Thought I’d try sharing my progress early this time and see how it goes. 🦊

    I had an moment a while ago on this new little project of mine, accidentally read heightmap data from the wrong memory address, but it looks like a cozy little spot to set up camp... I’ve gotta work on real biomes soon.

    Had a nice evening at the game dev pub last night. and I seem to have gotten ourselves into a bit of a challenge (mostly by accident?) to have something new to show each other at the pub. It’s honestly been good though to have regular mini-deadlines like that though.

    Happy to see that people seem to like this a bit already, thanks. 🙂 I'm not much of an artist, but I'd like to learn. I think this project will help me do that. So far all the 3D is actually made with code, works surprisingly well when you can reload it live (C/C++).

    There’s obviously not a lot to show at this point, but I wanted to have something to refer to as I’m experimenting with this. Made with my own game engine, runs on iOS/tvOS, Mac & Win right now (Metal/DX11/...). Mostly written in C99, a little bit C++11.

    To make things clear, I've been working part-time on a game on and off for a while that I've only shown to a few people, but I want to pause that for a while. I had this other idea though that I felt like I’d like to explore a little, if nothing else to just learn from it.

    Phew, I finally have a lot more time for gamedev again. I’m currently taking some time to explore a side project. The prototype is looking promising, but I need to make it look a bit more pretty before I can show it. Soon, I hope! 🙂 Also, happy new year!
