@john@macrumors Looks like a Terminal command to alter a Plist file will fix it. Weird that it's off by default thohttps://twitter.com/mbrawler/status/780425357858107392 …

@flyosity Quick plug for SwitchResX to get this option back: http://www.madrau.com/ -
@flyosity From the comments: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled -bool true -
@flyosity weird, I used an external display in scaled mode today, running Sierra. It had the same UI as for a native Retina display. -
@flyosity If you haven't upgraded yet you should be fine for quite a while on El Cap. Xcode 8 and all your tools should continue to work. -
@flyosity well at least they have a Retina Display you can buy now.

@flyosity However, I know this issue was present in the betas because I know someone who encountered it. So I don’t see how it wasn’t fixed. -
@flyosity I can’t imagine it was done on purpose given how many people utilize Macs for video editing, etc. and use 4K displays. -
@flyosity Based on the comments it appears it could be a bug of some sort. Some users are reporting it’s working fine for them. -
@flyosity@MacRumors is it like an accident thing? -
@flyosity@MacRumors oh fuck me
