Since developers will be able to adjust subscription price for new users, a new app could be $1/mo to start, then raise to $2/mo later.

Paying for app upgrades would become a thing of the past. You’ve been paying $1/mo for a year? Updates come to you as long as you pay.

Ship a 2.0, raise price to $1.50/mo, existing customers still pay $1/mo, new customers pay higher price for new features. I love all this.

@flyosity The developer quoted in the article mentioned going from a one time $4 purchase to a monthly $4 subscription.

@flyosity But still requires explicit ongoing content update or services separate from app updates, right? Or am I reading the doc wrong?
