Many individuals will not know if they were truly infected because of lack of access to testing. Do you think that advising individuals who were previously infected to get just one shot could put more folks than necessary in a position to not become fully immunized?

But how do you determine who all has had it? If someone was a symptomatic or had mild disease, they might not know they had it. And antibody tests only work for a short period after infection, right?

I imagine you would only recommend the single shot if you have a positive antibody test. Without a definitive test result, it is too risky to recommend the single shot.
