i definitely "write what i know", which means a lot of my fiction has, i think, a certain inescapable gloss of twee naivete and/or sentimentalism, but which also means i am committed to depicting weird horny disabled characters who do not necessarily grow in positive ways

(another thing about my fiction is I think, as with fellow disabled writer V.C. Andrews, you can kind of tell that I still have a young teenager's understanding of how many aspects of the "adult world" work-- office jobs, being married with children, politics & law, cars, etc.)

@ChuckTingle's book Harriet Porber does a good job to stay away from cliched trans characters. One is a real asshole who definitely fucks, is a bit fucked up, and is kind of a weirdo. He's also a dinosaur and my twitter handle should answer any questions on that front.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
