The media increasingly uncritically platforming LGBT hate groups in the name of "debate" obviously brings increased violence against LGBT people. Anyone pretending otherwise is a liar and/or idiot and/or wants it to happen Stay safe everyone ❤️🏳️‍🌈

I'm still not sure where I stand on what labels I can claim, but it's nice to put myself out there. And I know I'll always stand on the side of the trans folks out there existing in defiance of everything the monsters of the world keep throwing at them. /5

But my wife pointed out to me yesterday that I have made my own transitions. I had top surgery. I cut my hair short and masc. I changed my name. Maybe I deserved to make a little tweet under yesterday's hashtag So I mulled it over & promptly forgot for the rest of the day lol /4

One of the tools I used toward self-denial was saying I didn't want to intrude on spaces or step on anyone's toes. I feel that way now, like I've been privileged or lucky enough to avoid some of the worst discrimination my trans siblings have been forced to endure /3

The space I exist in is very nebulous. My gender isn't female, isn't male, and isn't fixed in place. But it's where I'm comfortable. It was years of self-denial before I let myself have this nebulous space that I love so much. /2

Oops I forgot to post on trans visibility day. I guess I have to be invisible till next year. But really should I, a NB lesbian make a personal post on trans visibility? This conflict is what made me put it off /1

I realized I’m always trying to be the first one to tap the hangup button when a call is over and that it’s probably from some deep-seated insecurity about inconveniencing someone by keeping them busy too long Unpacking childhood shit comes in tiny unexpected ways sometimes

On this Trans Day of Visibility, I have one main request. Cis people - You know Trans people, and the struggles we are going through. You probably know a trans person personally. Step up and fight to protect us. Do so with the furvor you would any other LGBT rights fight.

Some of you think Chris Rock got what he deserved, but half a year ago were telling trans folks not to take Dave Chapelle’s jokes seriously. Which is it?

  18. FUN FACT: Straight people objected to the term "heterosexual" or being called "straight" for this same obvious reason: They didn't want to be named. They wanted to be legitimized as the default and the norm. Yet today, they embrace the term. And they'll get over "cis" too.

  19. hi so you all know the Stonewall Inn was raided because the NYPD were enforcing new york state's "you must be wearing at least 3 'gender-appropriate' articles of clothing" law, right?
