So I've had the good fortune to get a sneak peek at the new book from @RaphKoster and fell headlong into the Star Wars Galaxies sections. I can't recommend it enough for those curious to dive into fascinating thinking around game systems, open world, and multiplayer design.
Just wanted to hop in and say it was the first MMO I ever played and to this day still holds a spot in my heart. I attribute it as a huge part of why I wanted to work in video games in the first place. Thanks for writing this Joel, it really meant a lot to me.
