The milkshakes are a test. Since milkshakes can be used, bricks next. Perhaps even more nefarious items follow.

it's been just milkshakes for a while. it works because it's non-violent and embarrassing. so there's no need for it to escalate, and you suggesting that it might is just you trying to whip up a moral panic.

Non Violent ? Throwing an object at someone else for the purpose of hitting them is not violent? Should we go over the definition?

Violence has the intent to harm, and milkshake doesn't harm people. Embarrasses them, yes, but thats nit a crime

It has every intent to harm it just does not physically harm as much as other stuff like a rock. Even if you spit on someone that's classified as assualt. And rightfully so.

No, it has intent to embarrass. When you equate throwing a milkshake to actual physical assault (like the ones gay people suffer daily) that's when things get dangerous

If somebody slaps a person in public in order to embarrass him would you not classify it as assualt ? It does not equate to punching someone in the face but it's still assualt. Your intention is irrelevant , throwing an object at someone is assualt by law.
