    I used to think that in the dozens and dozens of fields I've learned deeply, 99% of people were clueless. Then I realized maybe the problem was me.

    Lesson I've Learned: In every field I've learned deeply, I realize 90%+ of people are clueless. They imitate, mimic & play act with no idea what's really going on. I didn't believe it until I had the same experience in 3 unrelated fields (h/t ) (exception: MMA)

    My PhD is in Mol Bio/Biochem with a focus on virology and structural biology. You're wrong. A Max of 9 AA alignment from 3 different subtypes of HIV with inserts and synonymous mutations is the weakest evidence I've ever seen and your PhD advisor should be ashamed.

    Small syringe prick and two drops of DCM under the skin... even common solvents can be dangerous. Reminder for grad/med students to seek medical attention ASAP for any accident involving needles or syringes.

    Just submitted an editorial to about the nasty DCM accident in my lab. Stay tuned.

    This is exactly the type of corruption San Francisco has been suffering under for years. Public corruption damages so much, whether financial or other abuses of power, because it ultimately harms the public trust. Thanks to the and for this takedown.

    My latest: Four San Francisco mayors had big red flags for years about Mohammed Nuru, charged today with corruption, but embraced him anyway because he always did what they asked. Too bad he didn't clean streets and fill potholes as quickly for all of us.

    I don't understand the context behind this tweet. Do NYT reporters think that lab scientists routinely lie to federal investigators, that it is part of our culture?
